Euro Result: Denmark 1-1 England

After Morten Hjulmand’s response to Harry Kane’s opening goal for England, the match in Frankfurt finished evenly.

After Pierre-Emile Højbjerg’s first-minute effort on goal, the match appeared to be a back-and-forth battle, but England quickly took control of possession and created few scoring opportunities for the opposition. But gradually, the Three Lions picked up the pace, and Harry Kane scored a close-range diversion after Phil Foden had an excellent chance.

Denmark then started applying more pressure, and they saw results. Morten Hjulmand equalized with a superb long-range shot into the bottom corner, seizing the ideal opportunity to record his maiden goal for his country.

The opening opportunity of the second half was also provided by Denmark, when Jonas Wind’s attempt was stopped. After the break, the Danes controlled the game’s pace and enjoyed periods of flowing possession; nevertheless, England had the best chance to increase the score when a Foden shot struck the post and bounced back.

In an effort to salvage a point, both coaches made substitutions. Ollie Watkins, who came on in place of Kane, had an opportunity to score right away, but Kasper Schmeichel stopped him. The exciting game ended all square as Andreas Christensen shot over at the opposite end.
